Quotes on home insurance

I'm shopping around for quotes on home insurance but I can't seem to find the answers most companys require for online quotes, ie what year was the home built, how far away is a fire hydrant, what is the ground coverage in square feet etc. Does anyone know where I might look to find this info? Would the old insurance agent have this info and if so, could I get a copy of it from them?
