Fall is coming. Can you use a washer pressure to blow out the sprinkler system? Is it an easy DIY? Or has to be professional job done?

Best to get done by D&B Sprinklers so in case something freezes because not blown out right can be covered. If you have an air compressor can do it yourself. Just need adaptor to connect to the water line that goes into your sprinkler system.

Time to blow out the sprinklers? I use mine until the daytime Temps stop reaching 10 degrees. Fall is the most important time to water as grass is storing all its nutrients to make it through the winter. I blow out my own with an air compressor.

Don't use a pressure washer if you do it yourself. The point is to get the water OUT of the lines.

Just go on YouTube and do a search in it. Lots of great videos there on how to do it. If you've got your own compressor it's worthwhile. I've been doing my own now for years.

I said fall is coming i didn't mean right now but the time is coming.

Duck tape the vac to the system inlet. Switch vac to blower.
Blast out each line.
Takes a little more time than hiring a pro.
But why pay 60 bucks for a service.

I highly doubt you could do it with a shop vac. You need a decent sized compressor depending on how many sprinklers you have per zone.

Used it on my system for the last 5 years.
Don't need a compressor.
You have to do each zone separately.
If the sprinkler heads don't pop up just tap them with your hand and the water comes out.
I only have a small shop vac too, but it works. Just takes a little longer.
