Anyone have suggestions to get a kitchen ceiling clean, going to be a big job and wondering if there are some cleaning products that might make for a little less scrubbing.

Have used TSP and Spray Nine they do a good job can get them at Canadian Tire. Be careful not to get the chemical on skin or eyes. I would use gloves and protective eyewear. Again l have used and worked for me especially if there is cooking and smoke in the area. Cuts down on the scrubbing. Careful not to strain your neck or arms.

Amway do a product called Zoom that is good for this type of cleaning. No I'm not an agent used to be years ago and know the product very well. You dilute to suit. There have been times when I could have done with some myself.  
I just read a forum, where a guy was looking for some and someone else suggested Krud Kutter from HD not sure if it's available here.  
With Zoom it's fairly safe on the skin as I remember but whatever you use goggles are the way to go.  
If you decide to paint it use alkyd or oil based paint. If you use water based it will just keep bleeding through the paint no matter how many layers you give it. Have fun

Is it stucco? If so, it may contain asbestos if it's an older home. We typically won't ever touch something like that. If it's not asbestos, use a degreaser. If you don't have any, I can give you some. We stock a lot of it, as we use it to clean many things. You can concentrate at whatever level you need, even comes extra strength for really tough jobs.

Yeah, if it's stucco you probably are better off just painting it.  
 
If it's a smooth ceiling, you would be amazed what TSP will take off. When I bought my first house in 2001, the people who sold it to me smoked in the kitchen. I *thought* the kitchen was painted white. Good old TSP took the nicotine right off the walls and ceiling.

I used a windshield squeegee with a wet cloth stretched over it. I like TSP - Trisodium Phosphate - it's a great cleaning solution. Easier on the body than just using a wash rag in your hand. Greg combination. Squeegees are $5.00 at C Tire.

PROGRESSIVE SANITATION they supply bea clean and i used to clean pmqs!!! hardcore greese !!! use the degreaser they sell!!! its a pattened formula works WONDERs !!!

i will totally clean your cieling i used to clean for a living LOL just pay me some christmas money and will getter done! LOL jk no but serious kinda pm if interested i have references.!

Buy a sponge mop and pour fantastic into the mop pail. I would have 2 pails going. One with cleaner and one to rinse off after. I used to wash a lot of smokers walls that were stained yellow. When I sprayed the walls the smoke stain just ran off. It's really amazing.
