My SIL has them in her basement and loves them. She has DriCore under them though.

I bought some inexpensive ones to put down in the kids' playhouse outside. They seem to do the job.

HI,
Where are you wanting to use carpet tiles? They can be great if one gets stained or dirty you can just swap it out. They are also great for area rugs.

i've installed them lots. And depends on your application. they are not so much for residential applications as there is no cushion to them. They are more used in a commerical setting as they are very durable and as LadyJane said, very easy to replace one if they get damaged (usually only 30min-1hour to replace)

Have them in a basement for a few years and they are great, even applied them right to the cement and they are still stuck there
