Does anyone know of chemical paint removal service still in operation. 30-40 years ago businesses ran which were called "dip & strip".  
 
I have 250 linear ft of 10" wooden baseboards that need to have 100 years of paint taken off before returning onto drywalled walls in my 2 story home.  
 
Budget = Proportional to the value of the home, I am not going to send them to a fine furniture finisher to have them hand coated by brush {property is assessed at $39K might go up to $79K after a complete gutting and remodel}  
 
Yes ! of course there are environmental cautions to operating a buisiness like this, but if chrome replating services are running can't understand why a dip & strip service isn't easier to find.  
 
I'd appreciate any genuine leads like a name and/or number & location.

I know you said you didn't want to use a furniture refinisher, but we had Persnickety do this for us about 12 years ago when I renovated our last home. Now, that house was worth more than the one you have so our budget may have been more generous. We had wide plank fir baseboards, mouldings, and headers which were mostly stripped already. Persnickety did another strip, hand sand, and urethane spray. They did a fantastic job and I would definitely recommend them, if your budget allows.  
 
I carefully removed all of the wood, numbered the pieces using a stamp as I took them off. I pulled all the nails through the back using pliers to avoid damaging the fronts. We were putting drywall over the lathe and plaster so Persnickety also stained hemlock spacing strips to match the fir. They also custom matched some quarter sawn fir for a piece over the fireplace. Great job and very happy with them.
