Renting?

I guess the first question here, is are you renting this unit? If so, talk to your landlord regarding the smell. If there is carpets, they are responsible for cleaning them after the tenant leaves. Sometimes, vents may need to be cleaned out after an animal leaves, as the fur/dog hair can get trapped in them.
Second of all, it may not actually be the dogs smell, it could be something else causing it. We've had a leak in a pipe before that smelt like our husky just slept outside in the rain for a week, and it turned out to be water pooling up.
Thirdly, if you have a lease, you sadly can't just leave for the dog smell if you haven't notified your landlord, and every attempt to get rid of the smell on the landlords side hasn't been made. (Not saying you haven't contacted them, just making this note.)
There really isn't a whole lot you can do other then pine-soling everything (that's how we get rid of our dogs smells) shampooing carpets (this is the landlords job) and giving the floors and walls a good wipe down, and cleaning the vents. Other then that, it may be something else causing the smell.
