We had a bar of soap accidentally get stuck in our toilet...any thoughts on how to remove???

My thought would be to shut the tap off to the tank and flush it, it should drain, then after thake some hot water and pour into the toilet it self, slowly of course.  
I think the hot water , it might take a few pails , but it should dissolve the soap.  
Just a thought.

Good thing it is soap, and not a kids toy.  
Shut off the tap to the toilet and flush so that the bowl is empty, then pour large amounts of warm water down the toilet, this will be a long process but the soap will dissolve, and depending where it is stuck and the style of trap built into the toilet will slide back into the bowl or down the drain.  
 
best would be to use a garden hose with warm water but even cold water would do the job

You could unbolt the toilet from the floor and try getting it from the other side.

Actually very easy to do.  
 
Shut off the water at the wall. Unscrew flexible line. flush toilet, there will be residual water to spill. You might need a replacement wax seal.  
 
It is just labour. Or? Pay a plumber a couple hundred to do it for you.

Don''t use HOT WATER! The toilet is joined to the sewer pipe in the floor with a wax ring seal. Dumping boiling or even hot water will soften that ring and cause leaking. That trick will dissolve the toilet seal long before that bar of soap will be small enough to pass through. "Snake it" or GENTLY use a cheap coat hanger to bring it bake up. Don''t jamb it down any further. Best answer is to buy a wax seal and pull the toilet off to clear it out. Sounds gross (and sometimes it is) but it gets the job done. I''m a landlord and a dad, I''ve done this many times before. It''s disgusting but easy.

Wax and heat? What could go wrong!

had a little red fire truck in ours. Cost $300 to get out. It was lodged in the downward pipe.

Were u able to get it out? Removing the toilet is super easy. Just buy a new wax seal first! Watch a tutorial on YouTube.
