I was just wondering where around Brandon has good quality paint that isn't going to hurt my wallet too badly, I have a nursery that needs painted and I'm unsure of where to go. Any help is appreciated!

Depends what you are looking for. GREENSPOT, HOMEDEPOT and WALMART

I personally find you use less of good quality paint, can just do one or maybe 2 coats if really needed vs multiple coats, more rollers etc. I like the paint from Glidden (across from Superstore) or Benjamin Moore.

Benjamin Moore or Home Hardware brands are the best paint; low VOC for a nursery is a must.

look for sales! I like sherwinn williams paint and buy during 40% off sales. plus sign up for emails and get a $10 coupon.

home depot often has behr paint on sale

on Park Avenue (near 26th Street). They sell Benjamin Moore paint and their staff is very knowledgeable about type of paint suitable for various project and can often help with colour selection if you provide fabric samples, etc. They are our "go to" store for our paint needs.

Benjamin Moore is hands-down the best paint, but it can be pricey. BUT you often need less. I've actually had really good luck with the Behr all in one paint at home depot, which sometimes goes on sale so you can get is for $37-$45 a gallon roughly (it's been awhile since I've bought paint).  
 
I always find the expensive part buying brushes, etc vs. the actual paint.

I was pleasantly surprised by the Premier Paints at Canadian Tire. I painted my kitchen & bedroom with them and have zero complaints. The paint covered the old ugly colors very well, and even with the darker colors I only had to do two coats to get the coverage I needed. That was last September and it seems to be holding up very well, even on behind the counters (backsplash area) where it gets wiped down frequently.  
I went with the cheaper stuff, around $35/gallon, and wouldn't see any need to go with the top of the line stuff.

General Paint. But some kind of consumer rating I remember seeing selected Home Depot with the best paint.

Always been a fan of beautytone from Home Hardware. Reasonably priced, rolls on nice, and with a paint card you get a free can after a while.

Dulux paints is having their buy one, get one free on June 19th. The sale will go on for three weeks. Very low Vocs and very high quality

Much better off going to a paint store. You get better product, and better service. All 3 of the paint stores sell excellent products (Sherwin Williams, Dulux, and Benjamin Moore). The BM paints tend to be a bit more expensive. Some say it is worth it, others not. Most box store paint is not as good, but if you go with there top line, it should not be too bad, but I would still recommend the dedicated paint stores.

If you follow Consumer's Reports, latex interior paint ratings are as follows:  
1. Behr Marquee (Home Depot)  
2. Behr Premium Plus (Home Depot)  
3. Valspar (Lowes)  
4. Benjamin Moore  
4. Glidden

If you don't need a specific color you could try getting a mis-tinted paint, they sell for around $10 a gallon. Dulux, Sherwin Williams, Home Depot & Home Hardware usually have mis-tinted paint. We are big fans of Beauty tone paints, tried Behr and dulux and the home hardware paint beat them easily on ease of use and price.

WALMART, HOME DEPOT ETC....CRAPPY PAINT THAT DOESN'T LAST. Dulux paints is the way to go.
