Hi ebrandoners, I'm looking for some to replace the windows in my old house, wanting to do pocket installation as I don't want to replace the old trim, disturb the plaster walls etc. One more catch, I'm in Souris! I have some other things that need doing but I sure would like to get someone lined up to do the windows! Help me out, eBrandon!

talk to someone in the co-op homestore or even go into Brandon to homedepot and ask for recommendations...this time of year is difficult to line up descent contractors as this is their high season. Make sure the guy is well certified,bonded and familiar with working on older homes such as yours. This is what I done since I moved into a new area and not familiar with locals...even go onto a buy and sell site in souris and ask for recommendations, the more names you have the better. But always do your homework first before settling.

Just had Dustin replace 5 upstairs windows. No stucco had to be fixed, they were extremely clean (almost didn't know they were there) and the windows look amazing. Great guy and very personable.

I second Dustin at Yellowhead Windows in Neepawa, have never had troubles with the windows he replaced quite a few years ago now....clean, efficient and will even help with the paperwork to go to Hydro! Even put the blinds back up on the new window frames!
