South End Sandpoints?

Curious if anyone in the south end of the city around the 9th street traffic circle / Sycamore / Magnolia (9th St. To the West) area has had luck with a sand point well. If so at what depth? Looking at possibly trying to install one in the area and know they can be hit or miss. Thanks for any feedback!

Live just off 34th and Willowdale. Have lived here 20 years and it was here when I moved in and has been used a lot every summer. The fellow I bought the place from said he went down 12 ft, hit water but kept going. Never hit water again so pulled it up and left it at 12 ft.

We are in the south end and we have a well that has a 36 inch crib and is over 40 feet deep

Very high water table in that corner of town. But from what I understand it's a result from that land originally having been marshland with poor drainage and full of clay. A well would work, but a sandpoint doesn't hold up due to the soil conditions.

Just my opinion, I could be wrong.
