So..... any bets on when the child tax will be direct deposited this month?? Sometimes when the 20th is on a Monday it shows up the Saturday morning. It’s only a couple hundred bucks for me but I could use a miracle right now!! Lol!

It might post on Saturday, but the money probably won't be available until the 20th. The only day it in fact comes early is if the 20th falls on the weekend or federal stat day, and in December (it comes on the 13th).

Doesn’t it say on the cra website, if you log in? Under “benefits and credits” it will tell you the next expected payment date.

Monday the 20th. It would come early if the Monday were a stat holiday.

Anytime the 20th is on a Monday (or Tuesday after a stat) CT will be in on the Saturday for most banks except Scotia and I think all credit unions. It will show up as being deposited on the 20th on your statement but still available. I think it has to do with which banks process checks on the weekend.

If your financial institution has deposited on a Saturday when the 20th lands on a Monday in the past, it's a pretty safe bet it'll be there tomorrow. When I dealt with President's Choice it was always there the Saturday. My current FI, doesn't, but I'm in a different place in my life and I'm not desperate for the money so it doesn't bother me.

It’s actually in my account right now and can be spent, it is available. It’s not held until Monday. I’m with BMO. It was in by midnight. Every time the 20th falls on a Monday, mine is available on the Saturday before.

A new 400 dollar hot water tank that unexpectedly had to be replaced put a bit of a hole in the grocery budget this week! Irrelevant now as RBC came through so I don’t have to use the credit card!

Relax, I wasn't saying you were desperate for the money. At the time in my life that I was with PC it was awesome that they had the funds available on the Saturday because I WAS.
