I’ve seen so many different suggestions on what I should pack. I’m just curious on learning what I will actually use and need for my bag, if I plan to give birth at Brandon hospital. Does the hospital supply items or do I bring everything needed for myself and baby?

Supplies some, but don’t expect to get much especially if you are there for more than two days. Bring newborn diapers, wipes, large pads, nipple cream if you are breastfeeding and of course your clothes. I wish I would have packed slippers but everything else I had. Oh and my spouse wanted his own pillow because he slept on the chair in the room for three days.

When I had my kids things moved pretty quickly and we ended up without phone chargers!!  
I took clothes for baby, diapers and wipes.  
I took clothing for myself as once the epidural came out( I had a c-section unfortunately) I wanted to wear my own clothes and underwear. The mesh gitch are nasty!  
 
Good luck... having a child is the most joyful experience of your life.. having children was the best thing that ever happened to me!!

Clothes for you and baby (a few sets for both of you), diapers/wipes, phone charger, camera, pads (the most absorbent ones you can find, some people actually go for adult diapers....you’ll be surprised at what happens after baby is born), breast pads (even if you don’t breastfeed, they may leak), pjs (better than hospital gown).  
 
The hospital supplied the pads and diapers (they use wash cloths for wiping baby). If there are any diapers left, take them, as they will throw them out anyways.

I over packed with my first and then had to lug it all back out again lol. A change of clothes, big ol undies and a few pads with no dry weave (if you get stitches they can get caught on the dry weave..ouch!), slippers or flip flops for walking the room and halls, nursing bra or two, small toiletries (toothpaste, toothbrush, shampoo/conditioner) your own towel, hair brush and elastics. Snacks, water bottle, gatorade?  
You likely won't need nipple cream in the hospital in my experience anyway.  
For baby: a few diapers, wipes, outfits, receiving blankets, hat.  
Last time I had a baby they supplied pads, mesh underwear, diapers and wipes, formula when it was needed, a peri bottle (take it home!!) and they sent me home with all the pads in the room cause whatever they stock can't be reused even if it wasn't opened.  
If you live in town, someone can always bring you things too if you have any needs that you didn't realize you'd have.

With all the suggestions from google, it was looking like I would be strolling into the hospital with the biggest suitcase made! This definitely narrows my list down!

Don't forget the phone charger, hair tie and lip chap!

Definitely remember to bring your own pads and a few changes of large underwear. I found they were stingy with giving out pads and they wouldn’t give me a second mesh underwear (I personally prefer them).

Car seat-make sure it's all ready and set up before babe comes. When I did it that was something that waited until the last minute and then all I wanted to do was go home but we had to do the car seat which took awhile to get adjusted etc.

I took as little as possible. I didn’t take my own pajamas as I thought why would I dirty clothes that I have to wash myself when they will give me a gown that they wash. I do regret that decision. If I did it again I would take my own pajamas. I took clothes to wear home, clothes for baby to wear home, toiletries to shower and brush my teeth. Hair brush, hairdryer and hair tie. Chap stick and lotion. And adult diapers. The mesh undies they provide are great, but it’s one pair.

-hairbrush/dryer  
-toiletries  
-snacks like muffins or granola bars  
-slippers  
-phone charger  
-a couple baby out fits  
-clothes, preferably something not pressing on your front hips /tummy in case you get a c section.  
-car seat (can leave in car and bring up when it’s time to go)  
-baby wipes (usually aren’t supplied, diapers are and you go home with whatever’s left in the home or else they throw it out)  
- chapstick (dry hospital air)  
 
 
I would add:  
-a small extension cord to the phone charger (if your phone charger is not extra long but regular length) usually the plugs are in awkward spots, halfway up the wall.  
-laxative for easy first bowel movement, especially if you feel dehydrated there. They provide sennokot or docusate sodium stool softeners.  
-breast pump if you have bought one for yourself, plus bottles/ nipples you plan on using at home

Slip on shoes, loose big clothes (not prepregnancy clothes... you will still be big), house coat, diapers/wipes/pads- the hospital tells you that they supply these but they were so busy that we barely got any and I didn’t want to bug them), a pillow and blanket for your partner, snacks, cash for vending machines if you want snacks after Tims/cafeteria is closed, next time I’m bringing some sort of cushion or something to lay on because I found the hospital bed very uncomfortable, and we brought a thank you card and little snacks for the amazing nurses.

I was there last summer for my baby. Take a couple outfits for you and baby, a extension cord for your phone charger, toiletries, a towel (I found the hospital ones were really hard and scratchy) slippers, toilet paper cause the hospital kind sucks lol. The babys bed in your room will be stocked with diapers and dry wipes you wet with water. The nurses will refill them if you ask.  
 
They have a small kitchen on the maternity floor and the moms can have free sandwiches, drinks, snacks anytime. It's awesome.  
 
And dont forget the dads can call dominos after baby is born and get a free pizza you just pay the delivery fee I think.
