Jackrabbits? (cross country skiing for kids)

In Winnipeg there is a cross country skiing program for kids called Jackrabbits. We bought our 5yo son skis last year and took him out a couple times. He seemed to really like it and we would love to get him in a program.

I am wondering if there is a similar program for kids in the Brandon area anywhere?

There used to be the jack rabbits program in Brandon when I was a kid 30+ years ago. Not sure if it’s still going on or not, I haven’t heard anything about it.

A couple of years ago the city had a learn to ski program for youth.
I would suggest that you contact the city Recreation Department about it.
It would be great if there was a Jackrabbit group in Brandon to teach and grow the sport of cross country skiing.

Try Turtle Mountain Nordic or Riding Mountain Nordic.
