I just wanted to put this out there to warn other parents about the website Omegle. I caught my step daughter using this website. It's a website that hooks you up to chat to strangers. Following the website I found she also had a 2nd snap chat account with many, many people from MB, Canada & the states on there. Once kids meet on Omegle they go on to add each other on other social media platforms & a lot of inappropriate content. Im not looking for criticism, I was shocked, angry, disappointed & cried already. I'm just putting this out there as a heads up & when I checked the snap map there are many kids (age 9+) using this from Brandon & all over MB. I wish there was a way to have this website banned.

This Omegle website is over 10 years old! Cant believe its still around!  
 
Honestly, there is good and bad about any wrbsiye, its about you teaching your kids though.  
 
Its no different than Chatroulette, which brought us a version of miley cyrus wrecking ball (youtube it)

I used omegle when i was 14-15ish. Maybe even younger.. I’m 27 now.  
 
I met some of my best friends online. Long distance and some close in town. It’s a very different world now. As long as they’re being safe i don’t see a huge issue. They can just as easily meet people on facebook they’ve never met in person either. It’s about teaching them to be safe on the internet as there is no way to 100% control it.
