Today I took my 8 week old to the Doctor thinking he was getting a cough, but more frequent in the evenings, plus usually a stuffy nose at night as well.  
 
The Doc said because it's mostly at night it is probably allergies, gave me a prescription for an inhaler with the mask to go along for infants...  
 
And that was it? Never said anything about running tests to see what he's allergic to.. Nothing else at all?  
 
If anyone had an infant with allergies, Is that really all they do? No further tests, check ups? How did they diagnose your infant?  
 
All the doc did was check his chest (witch was congested) and ask when he coughs.. then I said at night.. and then he said allergies.. and really that was literally it.  
 
Is that normal for infants with allergies? Is it just because he is to young for them to figure what he's allergic to?
