Scar advice

My cat scratched my 8 month old daughter on the cheek, and while it looked bad, she barely cried and it only bled a little bit. I put polysporin on it regularly and never thought twice about it scarring, as everyone says baby skin regenerates so fast. It has since been two months and a thin, slightly red scar remains. Just wondering if anyone has had any experiences like this or has any advice with making the scar go away?
