Toddlers & Tiaras?!?!

I just finnished watching the show on Tlc about baby beauty pagents. I was just wondering what other parents thought about this crazy subject. The one dad on this show FREAKED out when his two year old daughter "only" won first runner up.
He put his head down and shame. What does this teach the children? It makes me so sad. I can understand if the child Wants to be in the beauty pagent, but when the parent gets overly involved- Its so sad. They only support them when they win, according to this show. I have never been to a beauty pagent, or known anyone in one.
