Opinion: Should dad sacrifice too?

Please note that the original text of this post was unfortunately lost during updates to this site Friday night. The gist of it was a poster asking if their male partner should support his female partner and attend doctor's appointments, give up drinking, sacrifice regular activity such as sporting events during pregnancy.
