Yelling momma!
3/27/2009 at 11:10 PM
I was at zellers this afternoon buying some baby food. I was looking at the baby/toddler eating utensils. When I hear this women yelling at her child at the top of her lungs. This child looked like she was maybe 2. She couldn't even talk! I wanted to say something, but I just couldn't butt in. Maybe I should have. My young child (almost 8 months) looked at her and was starring her down as soon as she heard the yelling. And it wasn't just a quick yell. She continued for awhile.
I would never yell at my child like that, little lone in public. Yes, I understand when your frustrated. And I'm sure when my child is older she will. But what's the use in yelling loudly. Talking firmly should do the trick. And just yelling, "NO, DON'T DO THAT!, THAT'S NOT YOURS" continuously obviously isn't helping.
Sorry I just had to say something. It's been bothering me ever since
How do you deal with your young children when they are doing something they aren't supposed to or frustrating you?
