Chicken pox in diaper area

My 11 month baby had the pox 7 days now and is healing nicely except for diaper area, and I have been leaving diaper off for about 30 minutes at a time several times a day, changing frequently. Has anyone ever gone through this and used any special method to have this area heal more quickly? They have never actully became blistery and scabbed over, just are red. She is not bothered by the pox at all, and they are not infected in any way.
