I ask this question to myself several times a day, When i had my son it was the best day of my life. He slept threw the night since he was 3 weeks old, never cried, loved to cuddle, he was just a "perfect" little baby. Now he's almost 16 months old and turning into a total nightmare!!. Every 2nd word out of his mouth is "No, Mum!" he refuses to eat, he screams, kicks (and attempts to bite me) when he doesn't get his way, i know they say its the "terrible twos" but really, this is constant, he has atleast 3-4 "episodes" a day. I'm a single parent and this is draining on me, i can't wait for 8pm to come some days so i can just have some piece and quiet!. I've tried alot of things, but nothing seems to work. My mother says i'm being "too hard" on him, but i don't feel that i am. I do not appreciate being kicked, bitten or have toys thrown at me, so he does go for a time out, he will sit for the 2 minitues he's in time out, but come out of it and go right back into being a terror, Yet he is very well behaved in public and at friends houses. Why is he being such a monster with me?, I'm a 21 year old single parent trying to do my best, but i feel like i'm failing when my son acts like this. Is it normal? someone HELP!
