So I have an acquaintance who is in some desperate need of help and being a mother as well I feel the need to try and help her out as best I can. She is a young mother and has recently became a single mother to a baby girl because her boyfriend decided to take their child and run away. After getting her back she was left with the rent, bills, food, and care for her baby all by herself. I feel horrible for her and wish there was something I can do. She has no job, no family willing to help and no one she can turn to. I suggested maybe talking to a child and family services' worker, they always seem to help in the craziest of times! But not everyone is a fan of that. I was wondering if anyone out there can tell me if there is a social assistance program for single mothers or anything else out there that can get her going in the right direction? I know she can do it she just needs a little shove.
