Discussions

So here's the facts:  
-friend, 11 days till due date  
-is using a family dr as dr of choice to deliver  
-has been in so much pain and agony the last month  
 
Now here's my "issue". She went for her prenatal check up a couple weeks back and was told she was having contractions so she went home and waited it out, that night she goes to emerg saying she is in so much pain she wants to have the baby, they cant do anything so she goes home. The next week when she see's the dr he tells her that the baby is breech and backwards and that would be why she isnt dilating but having contractions then continues to tell her that the baby is gaining to much wait and that she needs to have an emergency ultra sound to determine if she needs a c section or induction, this was 2 weeks ago! She calls every day to see when the ultra sound is telling them it was supposed to be an emergency and nothing.  
So my peeve is why doesnt her dr call over to the labour and delivery ward and get them to admit her and then do an ultra sound? When I had my baby thats exactly what they did, right in the room. I dunno if I am freaking out over nothing but I would hate to have something happen to her or the baby because they cant get their heads on straight.
