Daycare for a toddler

I am a stay at home mother of a 2 year old boy. He is an only child and we plan for him to be an only child. He is RARELY with anyone but myself or his father. EVER. I love being able to remain at home with him and would not change that for the world. However, he is extremely shy and very dependent on mommy and daddy. I would love to get him into a daycare or home with another child or children his age, so he can learn to engage with others, without mommy around. The only problem is, I don't want full time, I barely want part time and no one wants to take a child for only one afternoon a week. I, ofcourse understand this. There are long wait lines for childcare these days, and why take on a kid for one day a week when you could use that space for someone else who will commit to longer. Does anyone know of a daycare or perhaps another stay at home mommy looking to socialize her own child or children, willing to take a child only one afternoon a week? I am looking for someone who is patient, and hands on. Someone who loves children and comes highly recommended. I would like it to be a learning environment, where they do somewhat similar things to our own home. Crafts, playtime, learn through play, etc. I know I know.....I ask alot but I am scared to let my baby go. But I think in the long run, we both need this! If anyone knows of anyone, please let me know! Thanks alot!
