Advice on Strollers/Wheelchairs for Children
4/10/2007 at 3:54 PM
My daughter has Cerebral Palsy and is 13, she has pretty good trunk control, but is getting very rounded shoulders, and is always wanting to look down instead of keeping her head up. She has good head control, but our therapist want to move her into a tilt chair. These are very expensive and are not provided by SMD wheelchair services, so I want to make sure we get the right one. The ones that we have narrowed down. 1. Panther by R82
2. Safari Tilt - Transport Stroller/Wheelchair (I am told very tall and if you are a short person pushing, it is hard to see over. 3. New Zippie TS.
If you have any information on any of these, or have one, that a person might be able to see, or if anyone has any suggestions, regarding any other chair, that they could recommend, would be greatly appreciated. This chair must also be able to fold, for transport.
