One of my buddies brought his younger son to a birthday party in the west end on the weekend. The boy is about 7 and he gave the other boy a gift worth $10. The birthday kid got very upset because he wanted 'a better gift'. My pal's boy ended up feeling bad because the spoiled kid complained because he didn't get the particular kind of gift he wanted. WOW! All I can say, parents, is teach your kids that life isn't all about material objects. The sooner they learn this, the more better people they will be as in not so spoined and realize that they can't always get what they want out of life. Teach them to appreciate what they have and to give. The more they get, the more they want. That kind of behavior can be very damaging in the long run.
