Looking to go back to work.

I'm a stay-at-home mom looking to go back to work. WOW! Was I ever treated like a joke! One interviewer actually called me a parasite on society. I darn near cried when he said that! Has anyone got any advice about going back to work? What worked for you? What didn't? Are there any family-friendly businesses in town that hire 'parasites' like me? What is it about SAHM that employers shy away from?
