I know this topic has been discussed a bit over the past, but I was unable to find anything really recent about Earl Oxford specifically.  
We are fairly new to town and we are moving to a new house. We now have to choose between sending our kids to Earl Oxford, or Alexander. My kids are little, a I am very unfamiliar with both of these schools, so I would love to hear current parent feedback. Thanks!

If you able to get your children into Alexander School that would the choice I would make. My daughter went there for grades 7 and 8 when they first offered it to Brandon students and it was wonderful. The classes and and teachers are great.

My children both attended Earl Oxford. My son went fr Gr 4- grade 8. My daughter went from k-8. They absolutely loved it there. The teachers are wonderful as well as the principal. Ever since the latest principal started (4 or 5 years ago), it has been run very well, and we enjoyed our time there.

Earl Oxford is a kindergarten- grade 8 school now. Has been since they closed Fleming School, years ago. There are no specific middle years schools in Brandon, anymore.

They also moved to all day/ everyday classes for Kindergarten this fall.  
 
IMO the only way to go for Kindergarten. I'm sure the G1& G2 teachers will see the results quickly.  
 
My oldest started going this year. I like the school. I know some teachers there n the principle. Underrated school.

Full day kindergarten is not the best option for all kids. Some kids at age 4 and 5 are ready for a full day of school, but not all are. My child would not be able to handle the full day. By the end of the afternoon she is too beat as it is never mind how tired she would be if she was in a learning environment all afternoon as well as morning. I have seen some kids do well and thrive in all day kindergarten but I have also seen some of her peers in an all day program who are finding it too much. You need to look at what your child is capable of before choosing the school.

My kids are in kindergarten and grade 2. My child in K is already in a full-day every other day class and is doing very well. I liked both Alexander and Earl Oxford Kindergarten options, but was most interested in the school climate, staff, and learning environments. My kids are currently at Meadows and I have been told Earl Oxford is very similar, though that doesn't help me with what the staff are like and what the school in general is like.

really when it comes down to choosing a school. We moved here 3 years ago and I visited what was our catchment school and then Alexander as a school of choice. Once I walked in to Alexander school I quickly knew it was the best school for my child. I would recommend attending both and meeting with principal/teacher and get a feel for what is best for you.  
 
My child has been at Alexander now for 3 years and loves it. It is smaller than a city school and runs an art infused program that the city schools do not run. This is a more hands on approach to learning and challenges one to use more areas of the brain. The staff is amazing and helpful, atmosphere is great and welcoming, just many positives about this school. If I had to make the choice again, I would still choose Alexander. Our catchment school is earl Oxford. It was not a place I felt comfortable sending my child. We got denied our first school of choice but ended up getting into St. Augustine. Alexander school was at the top of our list but the transportation didn't work for us. I prefer a small school over a large one any day!!
