Answers will vary greatly from one provider to another but here are some generic answers
1. It seems to be between $30-$35 now with a few exceptions
2. Varies!! 7-730am and 430-530pm seem to be what I see though
3. Varies again. Some use their whole house, some have daycare dedicated space
4. Normally an afternoon nap is 2-2.5 hours. This will depend on the children in care at time. Some may still need 2 naps
5. I would think yes for the most part. Water cups should be available but as in any group care, it's not feasible to have multiple children eating at different times. There's one provider and they need to be supervising play, doing art and other activities
6. Will vary on provider
7. Will vary hugely. I think it's common for most to take STAT days off but holidays can be anywhere from 0-8 weeks depending on provider
8. Christmas Eve usually, some close early. Boxing Day is an optional stat in MB so check with provider
Even though private daycare is smaller, it's still group care and most run like centres. They should all have a contract and if not, I'd be leery. A contract serves to protect not only the provider but also you the parent. Terminations can get messy and if it goes to court, proper paperwork should make it easier. Take the time to view a few hdc's and get a feel for the providers, their rules, policies and contracts. Even a great hdc won't be the best fit for everyone
