I Am Considering Different Types Of Winter Boots For My Son, And Am Wondering What Parents Can Tell Me About Bogs Winter Boots. These Definately Are Not Your Traditional Canadian Winter Boots, But Are Rated To -30C. The Waterproof, Light Weight, Easy-On/Off And Slender Design Is Interesting.....  
 
Please Comment If Your Children Have Worn These For A Winter Or Two....  
 
Do You Think Your Child Is Warm In Them?  
 
Do You Need To Wear Extra Warm Socks?

My kids have worn them for years. My younger kid has wide feet and can't squeeze into them anymore, so they don't work for wide footed kids.  
 
Definitely good wool socks on cold days.

My kids have wide feet and they are PERFECT! I know the poster above said that they don't work for wide feet but that is certainly not what I have found. They also have big feet (sort of duck feet on the bottom of a popsicle stick) so having the smaller, lightweight winter boot makes it MUCH easier for them to play and make their way in the snow.  
 
My kids have never complained about cold feet. They are rated for -30 but lets face it, if its as cold as that they are only going from house to car to store. My oldest takes the bus to school so spends 5-10 minutes outside waiting every morning and no problems at all.  
 
Super easy to get on and off. My kids were both doing their own boots since. . . forever. No need for me to piss around with linings, drawstrings or velcro that never seems to do the job. They also are both able to tuck their boots into their skipants themselves.  
 
One last thing. My kids tend to keep them out all year long as rubber boots. If they are out splashing in puddles then they don't overheat in their "winter" boots and they dry quickly.

daughter had a set, they were great for spring/fall & to take camping, but -30 cold rated or not they weren't super warm for actually spending time outside. Also the ankles are very narrow so a pair of thick socks would mean she couldn't get them on as her feet are wide. They're o.k. I wouldn't buy them new, but as she got them as hand-me downs they were great for spring/fall when it's wet out, we bought a pair of real winter boots for when it was cold out though.
