To make sure they are going to a loving home and will not end up back in rescue which is very hard on everyone.
You are making a committment to this dog for the rest of it's life, so please be patient and let the group do their job. It will be well worth it. Good luck with your new furry friend! " |

I was a bit concerned that the OP was looking for, and found, a dog within a day or so. How do you know that's the right dog for you? It's like wanting to marry someone after a first date, LOL!
Part of the process is evaluating that the dogs are a good fit for the family. A lot of dogs end up in rescue because they're not a good fit for the family, personalities, lifestyles, etc, not because they're bad dogs or the owners are abusive, etc.
If the OP is sure about their decision, then more power to them. But I can't help be a little worried about someone wanting a dog with a reputation like a pitbull wanting a puppy, not knowing where to get a puppy, and then ... presto!... finding the perfect puppy in such a short span of time.
