Small dogs only Park

I was thinking of taking my dog to a dog park but have been advised not to do that because sometimes the larger dogs, wanting to 'play' with the small dogs, actually end up hurting them. My dog is only 7 lbs so this is a concern for me. Not that they do it on purpose. I was just wondering if anyone knew if there is a place for small dogs to go and play safely.
