Can anyone give me an idea of how working in MB oil industry is different from Alberta's? My husband works out in alberta, but his dad calls every couple weeks telling him he should work in Virden, there are lots of jobs. But from my understanding most companies are on 8 hr shifts and you need to find your own place to live. His job in AB is good in that he gets camp accommodations, flights from Winnipeg and back paid for, good wages, lots of overtime. The problem is the company is always so disorganized they start late every year and he only gets 3-4 months a year work out of them. Any stories of your experiences of working in mb would be great.
