Property Tax Credit

ugh....that time of year again.
I'm doing some taxes for family...but have a question about the property tax credit.
There was a purchase of a house half way through the year. I looked at the city's property tax site and see the $650 credit has been applied to the taxes. Does this mean that I would use the half the annual property taxes paid less half of the property tax credit of $325?
