Music in different languages
2/6/2009 at 4:10 PM
Music exists as much in any other language in the world as it does in English. Is there any music you like to listen to that's not in english, if so, what?
I have a large collection of French music from Quebec, not the usual Roch Voisine or Celine Dion stuff.
I like to listen to:
Les Trois Accords.. their song "Saskatchewan" actually turned out to be a hit in Saskatchewan, all because of the title
Malajube.. one of their songs, Montreal -40 was used on a Rogers commercial for a while
Les Dales Hawerchuk.. yes! A band named after the Winnipeg Jet, I'm actually going to check out this band in Winnipeg next weekend, this is the second time I'll be seeing them live, they're a nice rock/punkish sort of band, always entertain the crowd
