Why do you go to concerts?

There has been lots of discussions about bands and concerts of late.
I am a music lover that downloads tunes, but doesn't feel guilty because I spend thousands supporting the bands I enjoy by attending concerts. I have seen dozens of concerts from one extreme to the other. Some I have taken the wife and kids to, other my drinking buddy.
When I talk about the concerts I hear comments like: their old, their music all sounds the same, the tickets cost too much. There are lots of people who claim to be fans of bands, but won't travel across town and pay $50 to see them.
I go for the whole experinece of a live show: the live music, the crowd, the energy, and that connection with the band.
Let's hear why you go to concerts or what you expect when attending a concert. Does ticket price matter? How many of you have never seen a stadium or arena show?
