just to vent: because you think a band sucks doesn't mean they do...YOU JUST DON'T LIKE THEIR MUSIC! re: xfest thread...all the bands announced this aft will not suck - they just won't appeal to everyone...and of course there's a 99% chance THEY WON'T ! go figure?!?!?
Personally i think Coldplay sucks, U2 sucks, Metallica sucks, etc. etc. of course people will take offense to that but according to "me" (my opinion) - they do !
most of that is based upon comparison...i went to testament in winnipeg a couple weeks back, and thrash metal IT WAS! better than metallica IMO. wayyyyy better. (maybe not some of metallica's older stuff, but the stuff in the last 15 years...oh yeah....) "practice what you preach," "electric crown" or "souls of black" is just as good.
this will offend metallica fans, as it should, cause you are FANS of the band and it's your human natural instinct to get offended. so be it. deal with it.
