Anyone seen/heard the Blackberry commercial featuring U2 singing one of their new songs (don't know what it's called nor do I care).  
I guess because it's the all-knowing Bono leading thee best & biggest band of all bands in the history of music, we aren't supposed to come to the easy conclusion that it SUCKS!!! Just because they're "U2" it's great & we should be thankful our ears are graced with the genius that is U2. It drives me nuts when bands like U2 that have had their time in the limelight, and have clearly lost it, can pump out crap like that and still make money off it regardless of the fact it SUCKS. It drives me nuts when bands simply ride on the popularity of their name, not on the music that they currently make.I mean they could sing Mary Had A Little Lamb and the mindless masses would still line up to buy the latest U2 album, because, let's face it, it's got to be good, it's U2!  
 
Just because Bono sees himself as the second coming of Christ doesn't mean he is. People need to wake up & realize that just because the shoes say NIKE or the shirt says BILLIBONG or the stereo says SONY doesn't make it the best. It's creative marketing. Convince a lot of people that it's the best and soon everyone believes it to be true.  
 
I use to like U2, somewhat, but that crap that they just put out SUCKS and yet, there it it on my radio and on my TV just because... well, it's U2 so it's gotta be good, right?
