Five Year Old With Musical Talent?

Growing up none of us kids seemed to have any musical intrest and neither does my older son. My 5 year old however seems very intrested and even seems to be able to carry a tune. I would like to tap into this if it's there, but dont know where to start, he is a very fast learner, but has ALOT of energy. Maybe music can be his outlet? Any suggestions on how to know for sure or am I seeing things? What instrument would be a good one to start at this young age?
