It's been a long long time since I played an acoustic guitar. Knew a few chords here and there. However, I wish to learn more about electric guitar, how it works and what to look for when buying one.

http://www.guitarmasterclass.net/) and it seems like a place to start. Would love to play like that guy at the front of the page! Do I need to know how to read music notes, scales and stuff? I don't even know what a riff is :-) Can someone here lend a hand?
