Looking for Musicians

Hi,
Forgive me if this isn't the right place to past: I'm a newbie.
I've been learning the drums for a few years, and would really like to hook up with some other musicians to form a hobby band. I haven't been having any luck doing this, so I would appreciate some advice, or help getting hooked up. My own musical interests are country and lite-rock. Any leads or help would be appreciated.
