Fuse lamps are light bulbs....

They look like a standard glass tube fuse, except that they light up when a current passes through them. I believe that they are typically used in older electronics like amplifiers and receivers to backlight vu meters, dial scales, etc.
I hope that makes sense! I'm just a guy trying to replace the lights in my receiver at a reasonable cost.
