Very sad to hear of the passing of Soundgarden/Audioslave vocalist Chris Cornell. One of the most talented and powerful rock singers to lift a microphone. Difficult to understand his passing. RIP Mr. Cornell.

Yup that was my era. More of a surprise than it was with scott weiland thats for sure.

Big fan of all Chris Cornell's work, ever since listening to Temple Of The Dog on tape cassette. Shocked and saddened to hear of his passing. We've lost so many great musicians these past few years...

I remember about 26 years ago, a friend of mine in Vancouver kept teling me to buy this album from Soundgarden "Badmotorfinger" and it just blew me away! Chris Cornell pretty much wrote the album. To this day, I can listen to the whole disc and not tire of the tunes.  
 
There was a tribute band called "Temple of the Dog" who released only one album. There are 10 songs on that disc and Chris Cornell wrote, or co-wrote  
 
Then there's Audioslave and his solo work. The music world lost a tremendous musician in such a tragic way.  
 
I might as well make mention of Mother Love Bone, if it wasn't for them there would have been no Seattle scene. This is another disc I can listen from beginning to end and never get sick of it.
