Has anyone seen a schedule of which bands play on what days for this year ? I have been to their web site and found a list of the bands who will be there but not when they play ?

From what I see posted....

And plus I have not heard band play dates yet either. Hopefully soon.

Sunday night looks great with the Trews, Arkells and Terra Lightfoot. Not sure how to post lineups from Facebook, but it is there on their RFM page, gotta go down to about June 7 or so. Hopefully they add full lineup details to their webpage soon.

I love what they are doing and attend regularly, but their website is awful. No where near the calibre it should be in this day and age or for an event of this size. Really no information about anything on there. I think it would be a huge benefit to the event and all the attendees if they were to do some serious upgrading.

Don't forget this is volunteers that are doing this. They do post a lot on Facebook. I think there is a larger audience there than on the website. I have to moderate a website for a non profit and a facebook page and I will say the facebook page is much easier to maintain.

I get that its volunteers, but if you aren't getting what you need from them as this is a very specialized skill set, it may be time to look at paying someone to have it done professionally. The Countryfest website is very well done in comparison.

Less money spent on website=more money for rock and roll

What kind of band can you get for the cost of upgrading a website? Trooper....I'll just see them at the 40 when they play there again. Not looking to break the bank to make a website, just improve upon it.

Keep in mind show times are often tweaked several times leading up to an event so final show times may still be in the process of being finalized.

There are enough qualified but under employed web-designers around that you REALLY wouldnt have to pay much. If you raised ticket prices by 50 cents, you could easily pay for decent web design. How many people usually come out? I've never been (because Im new to the area) but I was recently told there are around 1000 attendees. If this is true, 50 cents/ticket is $500. You could get someone to do a great job for less than that. Especially in this day and age when there are so many decent free templates. A simple wordpress format and some tweaking to colour, columns, widgets and content is all it takes these days to make an excellent looking and very modern site.  
 
The biggest issue of course is content though. But I mean in just a few hours you can make something that looks very fresh and modern for very little money.

It is important that even if you can't make it to RTF in Minnedosa...  
 
Check out Joey Landreth on youtube. He is playing this year and one of the most talented musicians to ever come out of this province. Mark my words, one day he will be talked about like Duane Allman or Derek Trucks as a slide guitar player.
