Expelliarmus said "There are fewer things stressful than as a young couple trusting a trained professional to handle something important like your taxes to have them overlook a detail you told them that causes you to owe back tons of money, what an added stress that is when it could’ve been avoided. The original poster wanted suggestions , I suggest doing it yourself, if not I gave my opinion, it in no way is a bash or a slam at any current H&R employee who currently works there or who did a great job working there before. Before you get all offended because someone had a negative experience that caused them unneeded stress and anxiety, take a moment and think why I would share that opinion? Maybe so it doesn’t happen to someone else? To each their own. My wife had great experiences at H&R before the year we filed common law, but because of the experience we had we won’t be back that’s it. And it was 100% the tax consultants fault and we paid the price. "
Wasn’t offended at all just pointing out the incorrect info to not stir anyone else up. Commenting repeatedly saying the same thing is indeed imo a negative review on the company and tax pro. Being on both sides of the table I’ve seen and heard tons of things that could have caused stressful situations. It’s too bad you had that happen, but as I stated in a non offended way. There are a million things in a tax season that happen that are not negative, go above and beyond, and help others. I was pointing that out as a fact about HR block as that’s what I know and I hope someone else new gets to see because they asked. Just being helpful in a positive light. Many happy returns
