Sadly Bob (Robert) has passed away. I really enjoyed reading his paper while having my morning coffee. He was such a nice guy to talk to and always took a moment to stop and say hello. You will be missed Bob! RIP

Brandon in general will be a little sad for the next while, as something will be missing. News in a Minute and Bob Ferguson have been a staple of the coffee culture for over 25 years. Easily recognizable and very well known in the Community, I'm blessed to have worked for and known Bob for most of those 25 years. A little rough around the edges to some, but those who knew him well were aware of his big heart and larger than life persona. The profound impact he had on me in my younger years and later on with my family, can't be measured or expressed enough. From offering me my first job, steady employment for a number of the lean, early years of News in a Minute, being the MC at my wedding, lending us that famous convertible Mustang, to offering my son a job in recent years, his heart was as big as his personality. Brandon has lost one of our best and a cornerstone of our community. I'm truly saddened by this tragic event and sent my thoughts and prayer to his family, friends and all who knew him simply as the guy from News in a Minute. The good times and infectious smile will never be forgotten. Rest easy Big Bob and hope to see you on that glorious beach someday.

Bob was a guy who always had time to stop and chat, have a few laughs with and just was generally a cheerful, upbeat person. He had a heart of gold and was a genuine soul and a friend of many. He will be sadly missed by many Brandonites and others. They say, don't be sad for what is gone, be glad for the chance to have what we had. We will try Bob, rest easy my friend, you will surely be missed.
