Is it sold out yet? Can’t get through period just a recording saying call back! Very annoying

We called for 2.5 hours straight, constant busy signal. I guess this the only fair way, but do they even have more than one person answering the phone?

Set up an auto-dialer on my phone and gave up around noon. Call log showed 477 call attempts over about 3 hours.  
 
Constant busy signals and maybe 1 out of 20 times it would go to the message to try back later.  
 
Not worth it. What a garbage system and waste of time for anyone who actually had to redial manually.

Just called and message is the bookings are all filled.

They REALLY need to get with the times here and make them available for sale online where a busy signal doesn’t hold people up for hours! I would gladly pay the fee!

U gotta know someone to get tickets... how many people actually phone and get through? I’ve called for years and nothing!

I’m an average joe and we have called and gotten tickets for this and the holiday buffet for the past couple of years. Both events are very popular and thus hard to get tickets.

We didn’t get thru this year but have gotten thru the last couple years. I think the students get one reservation each for themselves or family (which is fair).  
 
I was saying today that I think some of the businesses around town should fund the software development for an online reservation system for grey owl... the productivity of the entire workforce in Brandon probably suffered today lol. Just kidding but seriously need an online system ....Maybe the IT students at ACC could do this??  
 
Or as stated above, charge a ticket fee. People would pay!! There obviously is a high demand.

Same story every year with this event. I'm sure if someone dug up previous threads on here they would almost be identical. Despite what ACC and everyone else says unless your friends and family or one of the big shots in town your chances of going are slim. We don't even bother trying anymore. Not worth the aggravation. But however if you get offered tickets or by some miracle your call got through you are in for a treat as it really is something special. The food, service, venue never disappoint.

Am I the only one that doesn’t see what all the hype is about?

Since Brandon is lacking in the fine dining department that would be why the "hype" for the Grey Owl is so high. That and the fact that it has limited seating and dates. I have never been disappointed with food or service

We have also tried for years to no avail. Got through finally at 12:45 and got a table for six. I do wish they would set up a cue line so everyone could get in line and be answered in order.

Called for 5 hours this year and got a table for two, which is all that was left but there were still many days to choose from for tables for two. This will be our fourth year going and every year I have had to call an outrageous amount of times. Yeah the system kinda sucks but it’s worth it!

I've gotten tickets the last 4 years but you have to go be persistent and dial to repeatedly, redial, redial, redial.

A coworker started calling at 12:30 and got a table on his second call.

I have been fortunate to get tickets in the past — it’s a great event. In terms of adding more phone reception people, or new computer systems, I would suggest that perhaps you may be putting the cart ahead of the horse.  
The Grey Owl, and other events, is used to help train students and fulfill their academic requirements. It is not intended to be a full service, for-profit restaurant.  
I think they do a great job.

My son, a second year MICA student, tells me there are only 2 people who work the reservation line and there is no queue system.
