The process is pathetically slow here in the West end, 30 people in line and no one coming out. What gives? Wonder why people don’t vote.

I voted in the west end mid afternoon and was in and out in no time. The polling stations can't handle 30 people at a time, and there may be an issue of some kind where you are. I'm guessing it's not like that at every polling station.

I got in line at 6:20 and left at 7:00. I heard people behind me saying they would never come again after standing in line that long . I tend to agree with them.

That's a pretty poor attitude to take. There was plenty of opportunity for advance voting. No one had to leave if for the last minute.

Also, this isn't a customer service thing where you get to be served instantly, this is our democratic process. Sometimes it can take a bit, and you might have to wait, but if you want it to work you need to show up.

That's a terrible attitude to have. Took me all of 5 minutes to vote. Just cause you need to wait you would give up your democratic rights!

Advanced voting is the way to go.. was done in less than 5 mins.

Heard this election MB had record numbers for advanced voting.

Honestly might be a bigger surprise that PCs are as in the game as they are after this poll a couple weeks ago...

Quite the risk running a campaign in MB that has a few more shades of current AB/SK govs than what you'd usually see from a PC party in the province. If NDP does hold onto a majority, maybe this brings PCs just a little more back from that right flank if they hope to win Winnipeg and some of the demographics that that poll shows they're pretty unpopular with?

Very interesting to see how close Brandon West is with a NDP lead (12) currently. Brandon East has been pretty solid NDP all night. Think it shows Brandon can go either way and isn't a safe seat for any party.

Brandon West is definitely one to watch, I'm sure there will need to be recounts there, it will be that close.

I don't know where you voted, but no line ups where I was. In and out in no time. You could have gone to another poling station. Any body in the West end could have gone to any poling station in the west end.

Advance polls is the way to go!
The PC's could run a watermelon as a candidate and Sprucewoods would vote it in...So Jackson winning was not as big a victory as the PC's might think.

Was just looking for the results of Brandon west too. I agree, what’s the hold up. If the machines are no good just get them counted by hand. Apparently that is quicker after how long the results took to trickle in last night in comparison to before the machines anyways.

Not sure why there is no information as to why a winner hasn’t been called. No news like newer than last night.
Sure would be nice they released possibly what the issue is. Machines fine, recount fine, but nothing is what gets the rumour mill churning.
