Very sad to hear that. I always loved it there and the owners were wonderful. All the best in future endeavours to the owners.

I thought I saw a post saying that they were offering one month free memberships or something to the people who had memberships at Fitness Quest. Might be something to look into.

Fitness quest was my absolute favorite gym! Loved the private women's room so I didn't have to feel intimidated.

Was my first "I'm going every day" gym.

Really wish this place wouldn't have closed. My current gym, FPC is ridiculously overcrowded now. It used to have a solid membership base but it was never so packed you had to wait in line to use a machine. Not the case now, membership seems to have doubled but the square footage and number of equipment has stayed the same. I switched to FPC to get away from the crowds and congestion of the YMCA but looks like I'll have to start looking for another gym again soon if it doesn't change.

It's also the New Year so you will have all the out of shape people that decided to buy a gym membership as their New Year resolution too. It's temporary though, trust me. Give it 4 - 6 weeks and all those folks will probably be back on their couch and you won't have to stand in line anymore. The Y is no different it's packed now too.

The numbers may go down a bit, but also might not be enough to make it worthwhile either! They are now two fitness clubs in one location, and the location didn't grow but client base did. So even once all the New Years resolution gym members drop down, it's still going to be substantially busier than it was before. I can only see it improving if enough people get sick of it being so busy and leave to the other gyms in Brandon. Thin it out. Former Fitness Quest members, as well as members of FPC before Fitness Quest joined, may realize they don't like the new situation. I know if I'm paying those monthly fees, I don't want to have to wait for every machine.

....members of fitness Quest, it hasn't appeared to me that there are many New Years resolutionists. It will then out only if members move to other gyms, which for the most part are already over capacity or to the crossfit realm. Fpc has extended their hours and it seems to die down after 8pm so you might have to adjust your schedule. Going there between 5 and 7 is almost a waste of time. I'm sure GoodLife will alleviate the problem but that's moths away.

Not sure when good life is opening but that should help reduce some if the overcrowding at the clubs as well.  
 
The Y has been very busy this week, lots of new faces, and not necessarily the resolution crowd, but a lot more experienced folks.

thats judgmental of you! I think it's great to see all the out of shape people at the gym giving it a try in order to better themselves, shed some pounds a be generally healthier. I think it's about mindset. If you train at peak hours — in the mornings before work or in the evenings after work — there are going to be more people, so you can go in and be rigid and get frustrated, or work around it!

I am unclear. Finess Quest moved and Good Life Fitness will be there as well?

Two different places. Fitness Quest was in the Town Center, Good Life Fitness is going in to the Shoppers Mall.

Upstairs at the Shoppers Mall now? You can see equipment from the parking lot.  
 
Is that something different or part of what is going to be open East of it?

Fredrickson's has a woman's only gym upstairs at the shoppers mall.

Wow, the 2 will be close together. But I guess they will be very different from each other.
