Not sure

If your water makes much difference. Brandon water has a ton of sediment in it, just like well water can. It's obvious due to frequency we have to change the water filters, as well as when we refill the hot tub, we have to run a sediment remover through the fresh water -it's gross.
That said, washers in general are absolute garbage right now. I had an Amana top load with the old style agitator through 15 years and two moves and it was great. Same thing with our dishwasher. Since they both died a few years back I have been through three clothes washers and four dishwashers. We have bought cheapest, and we have bought the best and every time the salespeople here convince you it's great. I read all the reviews first too, and I think it is just our crappy water system coupled with cheaply made products that makes them all not worth much anymore.
I am glad someone here mentioned they are starting to make washers with old water and agitator systems again. These newer eStar ones are a joke. Clothes (and dishes) just don't come clean. They don't use enough water to even soak through sometimes. I even went to a top load for my latest washer and still all my towels come out musty smelling unless I use the deep water, hot cycle with bleach. Not to mention it is constantly out of level so if I try to do a heavier quilt or something (like this may tag washer I have now says it is do good for) it won't spin out properly and I have to rerun it multiple times to get the water out.
Not sure how it is environmentally friendly when you have to use the max cycles to get the clothes clean.
Maybe consider a commercial set? They are made with no bells or whistles but for durability and heavy duty. I'm saving up so I can get a better set next time.
